Jankle Adler

Polish-born Expressionist associated with the modern German school in which he was active in Diisseldorf until 1933 and the advent of the Nazis. He died in England. His art may be described as powerfully and individualistically primitive in feeling and form. It is clearly influenced by the arts of Africa and Oceania.

  • Drawing is the honesty of the art. There is no possibility of cheating. It is either good or bad. Salvador Dali
The arts are fundamental to our humanity. They ennoble and inspire us—fostering creativity, goodness, and beauty. The arts help us express our values, build bridges between cultures, and bring us together regardless of ethnicity, religion, or age. When times are tough, art is salve for the ache.
